PeerTalk is anonymous group chat that opens in seconds. No sign-up, no email, no phone number and no stored IP address. Every message is deleted automatically after 24 hours.
Illustrative preview of the PeerTalk interface
From link to conversation in seconds
No registration flow, no verification codes, no profile to fill in. Just the conversation.
Open PeerTalk
Your browser creates an anonymous session identifier locally. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to confirm.
Join or create a room
Pick a public room or start a private one, protect it with a password if you like, and share the link with the people you want.
Talk freely
Messages arrive in real time and are deleted after 24 hours. Want to be recognised next time? Add an optional PeerTalkID.
A complete chat stack, built around privacy
Rooms, direct messages, channels and identity. Each works on its own, and all of them work together on every platform that embeds PeerTalk.
Encrypted direct messages
One-to-one conversations are end-to-end encrypted with ECDH P-256. Only the participants can read them, not us.
Private group rooms
Create a room, share the link and start talking. Optional password protection and member roles keep it under control.
Announcement channels
Owner-controlled channels for community updates and coordinated publishing.
PeerTalkID identity
An optional, passwordless identity from a 12-word passphrase. Persistent across sessions and platforms, linked to nothing personal.
Real-time delivery
WebSocket messaging with 17 ms p95 latency, load-tested at more than 7,500 concurrent users.
Automated moderation
Spam filters and a three-strike ban policy, aligned with the EU Digital Services Act, with no extra work for integrators.
Nothing to breach, because we don't collect it
Most chat apps collect far more than they need: email addresses, IP addresses, device fingerprints and session metadata. PeerTalk is designed so that this data never exists in the first place.
- AES-256-GCM encryption at rest
- IP hashed with SHA-256 on arrival, never stored
- Messages deleted after 24 hours
- No account, email or phone number
- ECDH P-256 end-to-end encrypted DMs
- DOMPurify sanitisation against XSS
- Strict Content Security Policy headers
- WebSocket origin validation
- GDPR compliant, operated in Germany
- No third-party tracking SDKs

A persistent identity that knows nothing about you
Conventional sign-in exposes email addresses, IP addresses and device fingerprints. PeerTalkID derives your identity from a 12-word BIP39 passphrase, locally in your browser. The server only stores a SHA-256 hash of your public key.
- No email, no password, no account
- Works on every platform that embeds PeerTalk
- 128-bit passphrase entropy
- A server breach reveals nothing personal, because nothing personal is stored
Conventional sign-in providers collect
- Email address
- IP address per session

- Data subject to GDPR deletion
PeerTalkID stores
- A SHA-256 hash of your public key
- No IP address, ever
- No device data
- No metadata
